letter 024: The World's First Envelope Exhibition

dear junk mail club,

speaking again so soon, this is a rarity. my album, Somewhere On A Hillside, comes out in less than two weeks, Friday, July 28th. i’m playing the album live for the first time, from beginning to end the night it comes out in los angeles. you are invited to the World’s First Envelope Exhibition.

i’m going to have everything from the videos and more on display. it will be more of an installation than a concert, with the kite envelope hanging from the ceiling, the postal truck parked out front, and of course the mailbox bounce house open for jumping. if you are in town, i hope to see you there, this is a one night only event. i’m not sure i’ll ever have all the pieces from the videos together in one place like this again.

if you live in los angeles, you are in luck. and if you aren’t, i’m opening a P.O. box for you to send letters and any art you can mail in an envelope to have on display at this release show. as a member of junk mail club, you are always a part of it all. the P.O. box will be open until July 26th. you can write anonymously, about whatever you like, a poem, a story, something you wish you would’ve said to someone but didn’t. you do not have to write, or make something directed to me. it can be a capsule to whoever, or wherever you wish. your letter or art will be framed and on the wall at the exhibition. if you are looking for it, you can find it somewhere on a hillside. mailing address below. :) excited to see what you submit.
